Yoga has been known to reduce stress/anxiety, improve self-esteem, develop discipline, increase patience and improve focus. Our Yoga instructor will teach youth how to perform various stretching poses, practice meditation and promote mindfulness in addition to overall well-being.
Many youths suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and several other diseases. Proper nutrition is very important. Our nutrition classes will provide the knowledge and skills to make healthy food choices. Topics include carbohydrates, water, vitamins, minerals and proteins as well as good diets vs bad diets.
Physically, hitting and punching a bag produces a response in your body that helps to relieve tension and stress. It is a safe way for youth to release aggression or tension without hurting themselves or others. It also help work through negative feelings and overcome them with time.
Think of your trainer as your cheerleader, manager, and a supportive best friend all wrapped up in one. A trainer allows you to get the job done by motivating you to push through and achieve your weight loss goals. Working one on one with a personal trainer you have his undivided attention and it allows him to focus on you individually. The goal of your trainer is to help you succeed. He or she will cheer you on toward not only your goals inside the gym but outside as well. Having someone who genuinely cares for your well-being can be very motivating.
Group personal training can help youth by pushing them to train harder. Seeing other youth get results and feeling more competitive can inspire youth to become better physically and mentally. It also allows them to meet new people and be more sociable. The trainer will motivate the group to achieve their weight loss goals while maintaining a fun and upbeat environment.
